Adaptive Reuse Community Center
Bridges
Bridges is an adaptive reuse project centered around the preserved ruins of Hearthstone Castle in Connecticut. The proposal introduces two buildings: the Core, inserted within the existing castle walls, and the Satellite, positioned down the hill as a modern reflection of it.
Through a boutique B&B hotel, restaurant, café, art gallery, and learning spaces for children, the project reactivates the abandoned site as a community hub centered around rest and curiosity.
